White Bear Lake Area Schools, ISD 624, is seeking a bus driver aide to assist the driver in transporting students to and from school. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and includes assisting students with special needs, including those using wheelchairs or braces.

Work hours range from 4.0 to 7.5 hours per day, 173 days per year, with an ASAP start. Compensation is $21.37 per hour under the current Bus Driver and Bus Aide Agreement.

Formación

• Experience working with children, assisting with loading/unloading of students.
• Ability to help students with special needs (wheelchairs, braces, crutches).
• Maintaining discipline and cleanliness on the bus and safe transport practices.

Salary Range/Hourly Rate: Per Bus Driver and Bus Aide Agreement as of July 1, 2026 Rate is at $21.37/hour

Description Performs semiskilled work assisting driver of the school bus, picking up and delivering students to/from school. Assists students with special need such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, etc. Work is performed under the general direction of the Transportation Supervisor. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable an individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education Required High School Diploma or GED.

Experience Desired/Special Requirements Experience in working with children assisting with loading and unloading of students. Assist the driver in maintaining adequate discipline and cleanliness on the bus
