Qualifications

  • Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 academic credit hours.
  • Must possess professional appearance/manner and be punctual.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Keyboarding, MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook.
  • Must be available to work within 8am-5pm Monday-Friday time frame.

Responsibilities

  • Provides front-counter services for the Bursar Department.
  • Receives payments/assist customers with payment questions.
  • Assists with walk-in traffic and answering/directing phone calls and voicemails.
  • Transcribes detailed messages in an appropriate manner while using a multi-line phone system.
  • Prints student ID cards.
  • Provides outreach to students that have a balance due.
  • Verifies student accounts and deposits for discrepancies.
  • Assists in copying, printing, collating, mailing, scanning, indexing, shredding, filing, or e-mailing as needed.
  • Responsible for mail retrieval/delivery along with additional campus errands.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Student Assistant in the Office of the Bursar will assist with the daily operations of the office.

Responsibilities

Provides front-counter services for the Bursar Department.
