An established industry player in scrap metal recycling is seeking a dedicated Burner/Torch Operator. This role involves cutting oversized ferrous materials using an oxy-fuel torch in a dynamic outdoor environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and preferably experience with torch operation and scrap metal processing. You'll be working on a rotating schedule, ensuring safety and efficiency while adhering to company regulations. The Burner/Torch Operator is responsible for cutting oversize or large ferrous material through use of an oxy-fuel torch (torch cart) to a size acceptable as determined by the steel mill.
As a Burner/Torch Operator you must be able to work outside in all weather conditions while wearing the appropriate safety and weather protection gear.
The working hours for this position are from 6:00am to 6:30pm, and work a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off and then 3 days on, 3 days off.
