Job summary

Responsibilities

• Burn steel slabs according to required dimensions and specifications.

• Assist supervisors and team to meet production targets.
• Remove slag and clean burn edges from slab cuts.
• Follow work instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Report deviations to the Slab Yard Lead.
• Coordinate with crane operators for safe slab movement.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per company standards.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.

• Ability to follow all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a heavy industrial environment.
• Must be available to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights).
• This position operates in a heavy industrial steel mill environment and may involve exposure to heat, dust, noise, and moving equipment. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
