Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting burner machines preferred.
• Adequate manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination required.
• Ability to follow written instructions and perform basic math computations.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced production activities on burning machines.
• Review blueprints, work orders, tooling instructions or other specifications.
• Choose correct material for the job according to the work order.
• Set up machine track, burning tip, gas flow and feed rates.
• Determine processing specifications and tolerances.
• Position work pieces for processing and operate multiple machines.
• Operate burner machines as workload requires.
• Adjust cutting speed, depth and feed rates.
• Measure pieces with calipers, micrometers, scales and squares to ensure specs.
• Perform quality control inspections on finished product.
• Clean equipment per maintenance procedures.
• Diagnose problems and remove scrap from machines.
• Coordinate material handling including overhead crane.
• Complete work order paperwork.
• Restock material.
• Mark identification on material/work pieces before processing.
• Mark material after processing and store for additional processing/shipping.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
