Job summary

Rockford Combustion is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose and fix burner control and electrical issues at customer sites. You will perform startup and commissioning of new equipment, working closely with plant personnel, and delivering clear reports on findings.

This role requires hands-on HVAC and combustion expertise, willingness to travel weekly, and the ability to train customers. Onsite training is provided to develop deep combustion proficiency and customer‑facing communication

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with burner/combustion systems.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel weekly to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve burner control and electrical problems.
• Perform point‑to‑point checkout, startup, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Collaborate with plant personnel and clearly communicate findings.
• Complete field service reports and manage expenses.
• Identify upgrade or repair opportunities and propose solutions.
• Provide training support as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
