Job summary

IES Infrastructure Solutions in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Burn Table Operator to fabricate and bevel metal parts using plasma and oxy-fuel burn tables. You will read work instructions, set up programs in Shape Manager, and perform necessary setup and maintenance while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires prior fabrication experience, forklift/crane certification, and a strong sense of urgency to meet production goals. Training on site will be provided in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in metal fabrication, CNC machining operation, industrial manufacturing is preferred.
• Apprenticeship or vocational training in machining, welding, or fabrication is desired.
• Ability to efficiently and independently use the plasma and Oxy Fuel burn table, beveling equipment and the following equipment/tools to perform tasks associated with position: Oxy Fuel hand torch, hand grinder, hand scraper, sledge hammer, pneumatic hammer, tape measure and caliper
• Able to locate and reference all work instructions pertaining to current job or project
• Understanding of department KPIs, metrics and measurables
• Sense of urgency and accountability
• Forklift and crane certified

Responsibilities

• Check orientation of parts
• Burn plate programs and miscellaneous jobs out of various materials
• Create programs in Shape Manager
• Operate any and all burn tables
• Operate electric hand beveller (can opener)
• Cut scrap with Oxy Fuel hand torch
• Clean slag off and de-burr plate
• Perform preventative maintenance and resolve error issues
• Inspect equipment, reporting issues to maintenance or repairing
• Operate overhead crane
• Complete daily inspection of rigging equipment and use proper rigging techniques
• Complete CRLW log
• Record job and section worked on in time matrix
• Actively support all EHS and continuous improvement initiatives
• Burn oxy fuel parts up to 2 inches
