Job summary

Express Employment Professionals seeks a skilled CNC Burn Table Operator to program and operate machines, reading blueprints and setting up for torch and plasma cuts to produce high-quality parts.

The role requires attention to detail, strong math skills, and adherence to safety guidelines. Training on day shift will be provided; evening shifts available with OT as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in burn table operation is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety consciousness.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC burn table machines safely and accurately using torches and plasma cutting operations.
• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings to determine specifications and required operations.
• Load raw materials and fixtures onto the machine table and secure them.
• Set up and run full cycles to produce large quantities of parts.
• Supervise machine output and adjust parameters to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts and compare to drawings; identify and flag nonconforming items.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on machinery and report issues promptly.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Burn Table Operator who can operate machinery with accuracy and safety to perform a variety of tasks. This is an essential role as some materials cannot be shaped or handled manually or with conventional equipment. CNC burn table operators are highly skilled and must be able to work with great concentration and precision, while being responsible and complying with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and mechanical aptitude are crucial to this role. The goal is to produce high-quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the correct operations.**The hours would either be 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM or 8 PM – 6:30 AM Mon – Thurs with OT as needed.
