Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a Burn, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join our expanded program, in partnership with Extant Healthcare.

The role involves inpatient and outpatient burn care, complex reconstructions with microvascular techniques, collaboration with trauma and critical care teams, and active participation in quality improvement and clinical innovation.

Qualifications

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with acute and reconstructive burn injuries.
• Participate in surgical management of burns, wound care, resuscitation, and long-term recovery.
• Collaborate with trauma and critical care colleagues in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Participate in burn and trauma call coverage, as well as clinic duties.
• Advance surgical practice through active involvement in quality improvement and clinical innovation efforts.
• Perform complex plastic and reconstructive surgeries with a focus on microvascular techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for burn patients.
• Lead surgical management and long-term recovery planning for burn injuries.
• Collaborate with trauma/ICU teams in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Support burn/trauma call coverage and clinic duties.
• Drive quality improvement and clinical innovation in the burn program.
• Perform complex microsurgical reconstructions as needed.
