Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare required.
• 1+ years of experience in a leadership role required.
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare and in a leadership role preferred.
• Current RN license in the practicing state(s) required.
• National Nursing Certification in Specialty or Nursing Leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee unit staffing, forecasting, planning and budget monitoring to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Foster accountability and collaboration and implement policies and procedures in support of facility objectives.
• Ensure compliance with legal/regulatory standards and update policies accordingly.
• Direct nursing practice and unit operations, develop nursing standards to meet patient needs.
• Manage labor, scheduling, productivity and premium pay utilization effectively.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will ensure high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s) in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring

• You will foster a culture of accountability and collaboration, and support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives

• You will stay abreast of legal and regulatory standards and ensures compliance, and develop and implement policies, procedures and practices in compliance with all legal/regulatory standards

• You will direct nursing practice and unit operations, develop policies/procedures and nursing standards to ensure patient and family needs are assessed, met, and evaluated

• You will ensure effective labor management, including position control, scheduling excellence, productivity management, and premium pay utilization

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or approved education plan required

• Master’s degree preferred

• 1+ years of experience in healthcare required

• 1+ years of experience in a leadership role required

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare and in a leadership role preferred

• Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required

• National Nursing Certification in Specialty or Nursing Leadership preferred
