Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is interviewing for a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN). You will care for patients with burn injuries, manage pain and fluids, and deliver advanced wound care as part of a dedicated team focused on healing and compassionate, family-like care.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, timely medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with clinicians to tailor care to each patient’s needs.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure is required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing required.
• 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes and ensure safety.
• Administering medications, including pain relief and fluids; perform advanced wound care and dressing changes.
• Educating and supporting patients and families to navigate recovery.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.

As a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll play a vital role in the healing journey of patients with a variety of burn injuries. With stays ranging from days to weeks, you’ll build meaningful relationships and witness powerful healing journeys. Partnering with a skilled team that’s deeply committed to this unique population, you’ll restore comfort and healing — caring for patients like family and improving lives every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
• Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
• Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
• Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
• 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required
