Job summary

Swank Construction Company, LLC seeks a Buried Utilities Project Manager to lead private infrastructure and buried utility opportunities from preconstruction through early execution. You will work with owners, developers, engineers and internal teams to define scope, assess risks, and develop practical construction strategies before construction begins.

The role bridges business development and operations, focusing on buried utilities, broadband/fiber, site development, and emerging markets

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
8+ years of progressively responsible construction experience in heavy civil, utility, infrastructure, or related roles.
Experience in private infrastructure and buried utilities markets is a plus.
Ability to develop execution strategies, budgets, schedules, and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical and construction resource during project development and preconstruction.
Define project scope, objectives, feasibility, and execution strategies with owners, developers, and engineers.
Lead planning, constructability reviews, sequencing, logistics, and execution strategy.
Provide guidance on buried utility infrastructure, trenching, and conduit installation.
Develop conceptual budgets, preliminary schedules, and planning documents.
Identify and analyze risks across constructability, permitting, right-of-way, and environmental factors.
Coordinate collaboration between business development, estimating, engineering, and operations.
Guide estimators on budgets, pricing, and scope gaps.
Support proposals, client presentations, and pursuit activities with clear execution approaches.
Ensure smooth project turnover to operations with clear scope and risks.
