As a Buried Equipment Operator, you will perform duties related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility constructions in a safe and effective manner.

What you'll do...

• Safely operate equipment on the jobsite, including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
• Place conduit and cable
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
• Responsible for site setup and cleanup
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks
• Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and barriers; flag traffic when necessary
• Follow instructions accurately

Who we are looking for...

• Experience with heavy equipment, understanding capabilities and limitations
• Basic skills with small tools/hand tools
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record; Class A Commercial Driver's License preferred
• Proficiency in using locators to identify utilities safely
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong safety conscientiousness
• Availability to work overtime, after hours, weekends, or be on-call as needed
• Previous construction or utility construction experience
