As a Buried Equipment Operator, you will perform duties related to the installation, repair, and maintenance associated with underground utility constructions in a safe and effective manner.

What you'll do...

• Safely operate equipment on the job site, including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (for moving equipment and hauling water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
• Place conduit and cable
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the job site
• Handle site setup and cleanup
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks
• Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to construction
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers; flag traffic as needed
• Follow instructions accurately

Who we are looking for...

• Experience with heavy equipment, understanding their capabilities and limitations
• Basic skills with small tools/hand tools
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License preferred
• Proficiency with locators to identify utilities safely
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Safety-conscious attitude
• Availability to work overtime, after hours, weekends, or on-call as needed
• Previous construction or utility construction experience
