As a Buried Equipment Operator, you will perform duties related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility constructions in a safe and effective manner.

What you'll do...

Safely operate equipment on the jobsite, including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (for moving equipment or hauling water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer.

• Place conduit and cable
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
• Responsible for site setup and cleanup
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks
• Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to construction
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers; flag traffic as needed
• Follow instructions carefully

Who we are looking for...

Must have experience with heavy equipment, understanding their capabilities and limitations. Basic ability to use small tools and read work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions. Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record; a Class A Commercial Driver's License is preferred. Proficiency in using locators to identify utilities safely is required. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and a strong safety conscience are essential.

• Availability to work overtime, after hours, weekends, or be on-call for emergencies
• Previous construction or utility construction experience
