Job summary

Kinetic, a business unit of Uniti, is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to install copper, fiber, and coaxial drops from the network hub to customers’ homes. You will connect customers to reliable internet, voice, and entertainment services with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

This role involves reading drawings, performing job tasks outdoors, and occasionally traveling overnight for training or assignments.

Qualifications

• Safety‑minded with the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Strong customer service mindset and clear communication with customers.
• Basic technology and math skills as part of field tasks.
• Physical stamina to work with heavy equipment and lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable from network hub to customers’ homes.
• Interpret work drawings, complete paperwork, and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Perform locates for underground facilities and operate trenching/boring equipment as needed.
• Train new employees and maintain a strong safety culture in the field.
