Job summary

Uniti Group, through its Kinetic unit, is hiring a Buried Drop Technician in Matthews, NC. You will install buried copper, fiber and coaxial drop from the hub to customers’ homes and may travel overnight as needed.

The role requires basic tech skills, color vision, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Training and safety programs are provided.

Qualifications

• Basic technology and math skills.
• Ability to distinguish colors present in color-coded cable.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable to connect Kinetic network to customer residence.
• Operate hand-held computer to retrieve and clear job tasks.
• Train new employees on daily functions and safety procedures.
• Locate underground facilities as required during tasks.
