Maximus is seeking a BUR Administrator for a federally-focused role in support of mission-critical systems. This onsite position in Colorado Springs requires a Secret clearance and daily onsite presence.

The candidate will manage Storage Protect / Spectrum Protect and backups, perform health checks, and ensure data protection across Windows/Unix environments. The role demands 7+ years in related fields and 5+ years with the listed data protection tools, with shift work and on-site requirements.

Qualificações

• Active Secret Security clearance required.
• 7+ years of experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Storage Protect/Spectrum Protect or similar product.
• 5+ years of experience with VMware data protection.
• 5+ years of Windows/Unix experience.
• Experience with disk and tape backup pools.
• Based around the Colorado Springs, CO area and available onsite daily.
• Must be able to operate in a 24x7x365 environment, shift work required.

Responsabilidades

• Set up, configure, and manage Storage Protect / Spectrum Protect instances and clients.
• Manage LAN-based backups, monitor schedules, troubleshoot failures, and ensure daily backups.
• Configure tape paths, oversee data and server restoration, and ensure retention policies meet business needs.
• Perform periodic health checks, install software patches, optimize performance, and conduct housekeeping for server databases.
• Maintain knowledge of Unix / Windows OS.
• Manage disk and tape backup pools.
• Manage offsite copies of backed up data for business continuity.
• Conduct storage capacity planning and forecasting to accommodate future growth and changing requirements.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Onsite position details

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements

• An active Secret Security clearance is required.
• 7+ years of experience in a related field.

• Disk and tape backup pools
• Storage capacity planning + forecasting
• Must be based around the Colorado Springs, CO area and be available onsite daily.
• This individual will be responsible for the daily operation of mission critical systems on a 24x7x365 workday basis. Shift work will be required.
