Levy at American Airlines Center in Dallas is seeking a passionate, skilled Action Station Cook to prepare made-to-order items at live stations and engage guests with hospitality and flair.

The position requires 1–2 years of high-volume cooking experience, ServSafe certification, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced arena setting. Join a team that delivers memorable events and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years cooking experience in high-volume environments (stadium/arena/event venue a plus).
• Valid ServSafe or state-certified Food Handler's certification.
• Knowledge of grilling, sautéing, frying, roasting and live-station formats.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, made-to-order items at live staff action stations.
• Interact with guests while cooking and serving.
• Ensure portioning, presentation and quality meet standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area during service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and equipment protocols.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and restocking of action stations.
• Communicate with front-of-house and culinary leadership for smooth service.

Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking a passionate, skilled, and detail-oriented event-based part-time Action Station Cook to bring excitement and flair to our Chef Tables and Buffet experiences for our dynamic Culinary teams. This guest-facing role is responsible for preparing and serving made-to-order dishes at live action stations (e.g., pasta, omelets, tacos, stir fry, bao buns, etc.), engaging with guests, and ensuring an exceptional culinary experience. Ideal candidates thrive in high-energy environments, have great cooking skills, and can deliver hospitality with a smile.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook fresh, made-to-order items at live buffet action stations.

Provide friendly, professional interaction with guests while cooking and serving.

Ensure consistent portioning, presentation, and quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout service.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and equipment protocols.

Assist with setup, breakdown, and restocking of action stations.

Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and culinary leadership to ensure smooth service flow.

Support the culinary team with prep work and kitchen tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen, banquet-style, catering, or fine-dining (stadium, arena, or event venue experience a plus).
• Valid ServSafe or state-approved Food Handler's certification.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, frying, and roasting. Strong cooking skills with knowledge of various cuisines and live station formats.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays according to event schedules.
• Excellent customer service, organization, and time management.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
