You are responsible for your campers and their needs day and night. You are their role model, acting as their older sibling, parent, and biggest supporter. You will set the example for them as we sing and cheer at the flagpole (Degel) before meals and guide them in keeping themselves and their cabins clean. You will be their biggest cheerleader as they try new things and their rock when they are having a tough day. This role will strengthen your leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, preparing you for your future career.

Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for the supervision and care of all campers living in your assigned cabin, day-to-day involvement with all campers present at assigned activity locations, and the teaching of camp rules, policies, and traditions.
  • Responsible for the health, safety, hygiene, and well-being of campers. Notify appropriate staff members of concerns.
  • Build positive relationships and maintain appropriate boundaries with campers and staff of all ages.

  • Be familiar with all emergency procedures and first aid.

  • Be a team player.
  • Be safety conscious at all times.
  • Support your fellow staff members.
  • Maintain strong lines of communication with all other staff members, including formal and informal evaluations with your supervisor.
  • Respect all members of the camp community. Be kind and courteous to everyone at camp.
