Job summary

Din Tai Fung North America in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Bun/Dessert Prep team member for a fast-paced production environment. Prepare dough, form buns and mochi, operate kitchen machinery, and support a high-volume operation.

Shifts start AM 8:30-5:30; bilingual English/Spanish preferred; ability to stand for long periods; 22.75/hour with benefits; Monday-Saturday availability encouraged; opportunities for growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough, form buns and mochi, and operate kitchen machinery in a fast-paced production area.
• Assist in loading/unloading bun steamer oven and packaging items.
• Clean and maintain bun and dessert dumpling machinery.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR Bun / Dessert Prep

• We are searching for friendly, energetic, highly motivated people who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Assisting in operating different types of bun and dessert dumpling-related machinery
• Assisting in cleaning different types of bun and dessert dumpling-related machinery
• Monday-Saturday Availability preferred
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Positive and Professional Attitude
• Assisting in loading and unloading the bun steamer oven
• Packing and Sealing bun and dessert dumpling items

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Frequently needs to work in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, in extreme non-weather heat, and in extreme non-weather cold
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day, and push a cart weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Constantly exposed to both hot and cold temperature conditions is pertinent.
• Follows all safety procedures, uses restaurant safety words during all shifts, and asks for assistance
• as needed
• Must practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid
• injury:
• Cutting gloves when cutting
• Back support belt when lifting heavy items
• Goggles and long gloves when working with chemicals
• Other PPE as needed (if applicable)
