Job Summary

Ally Waste Services is hiring for the Bulk Tech position, a key role in delivering waste support services to apartment communities. The Bulk Tech will load furniture and other bulky items onto a company truck and trailer, haul them to the landfill, and ensure all pickups are completed efficiently.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Drive a company truck (and possibly trailer) to up to 20 properties daily on an assigned route
• Check in, take photos, and document bulky items/furniture at each property using our proprietary app
• Load heavy items onto the truck using proper stacking techniques
• Haul items to the assigned landfill
• Empty items from the trailer or truck
• Work quickly and efficiently to complete pickups in a timely manner

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs at a time
• Must be able to get in and out of the truck hundreds of times throughout the shift
• Must be able to work quickly
• Must be willing to get dirty and handle a landfill environment’s smells
• Must be able to operate a vehicle safely for 10+ hours at a time
• Must be able to work 5 AM to 1 PM

Compensation and Benefits

Driving and Screening Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• At least 18 years old with a minimum of 2 years of a valid license
• No major violations (Type I) in the past 36 months
• No more than 4 minor violation points in the past 36 months and no more than 3 in the past 12 months
• Successful completion of a DOT physical examination and required medical certification prior to driving duties
• Successful background check in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
• Pre‑employment drug screening (including testing for marijuana where permitted)
• Criminal background check required
