Job summary

Ardent Mills is hiring a Bulk Plant Loader for the day shift (6:30a–6:30p) in Lake City, MN. You will help ensure flour products meet customer specifications after milling and will cross-train across mill operations to support production.

Responsibilities include leading when needed, following safety policies (GMP/HACCP), operating plant controls, entering data, and communicating with CSR’s, truck drivers and rail crews. Some overtime, weekends and shift changes may be required.

Qualifications

• Follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Communicate with peers and supervisors in English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn production software.

Responsibilities

• Perform as lead person as needed.
• Understand written customer specifications and blend flour to meet customer specifications.
• Analyze flour with lab instruments and safely operate lab analytical instruments.
• Enter data into plant control system for record keeping and create COA as needed.
• Maintain good communication with CSR’s, truck drivers, rail crews and other staff.
• Be available for overtime for daily and weekend plant operations.
• Assist in operations as directed by the Production Supervisor.
• Participate in safety, quality, and efficiency improvement meetings.
