Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corp. is seeking a Bulk Minors Operator in Ohio to support the mixer line. Responsibilities include transferring materials, weighing, inventory control, and safe operation of machinery.

The role requires one or more years in manufacturing, willingness to work overtime including weekends, and basic computer skills. The position offers growth in a dynamic manufacturing environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Knowledge of general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Transfer material from bulk bags or “supersacks” to smaller paper or poly bags to a more precise weight that can be handled efficiently at the mixer.
• Typically target weights of 30-50lbs.
• Communicate with additional staff members.
• Responsible for weighing of materials.
• Proper inventory control of raw materials and finished products.
• Properly label skids, boxes and fill out any applicable paperwork.
• Perform monthly inventory count.
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures.
• Operating a forklift for various functions.

Job description

Follow scheduled recipes and supply ingredients for each recipe to the Mixer Operator. Bulk Minor’s operator must weigh all chemicals accurately and consistently.

• Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.

The hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour, plus $1.00/hour shift premium for 2nd and/or 3rd shift.

2nd shift - 2:45pm - 11:00pm
