Position: Bulk Gas Sales Specialist
Location: Tucson, AZ

As an Airgas Bulk Gas Sales Representative, you will regularly call on our customers within your sales territory to maintain business, increase sales, and improve the company's competitive position in the sale of bulk gases, equipment, and safety supplies. You will identify and qualify prospective customers within your territory. You are expected to meet and exceed sales growth, profitability, and A/R management objectives.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Develop and execute regional sales and marketing plans.
  2. Implement the Bulk gas "Target Account Planning and Tracking System" and provide monthly updates.
  3. Acquire new and competitive accounts, focusing on product supply agreements.
  4. Review sales goals and profit margins, monitor marketing efforts.
  5. Serve as a technical resource for customers and regional sales staff regarding bulk gases.
  6. Maintain communication with internal departments about customer issues and developments.
  7. Collaborate with local branch managers to promote sales at retail locations.
  8. Travel throughout the territory to call on customers and prospects.
  9. Identify and qualify prospective customers and inform management.
  10. Interpret customer needs and recommend solutions to increase sales.
  11. Research market data to identify new customers and develop sales strategies.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Are you a MATCH?
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience
  • Knowledge of industrial gases, welding supplies, and hardware desired
  • Proven change management skills
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle with insurance
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficiency in basic math and computer skills (Word, Excel, SAP)
  • Professional presence and demeanor
