Job summary

NEW Cooperative, Inc. is looking for a delivery driver to transport bulk feed, adhering to DOT/OSHA safety standards while maintaining high customer service. You will learn customer livestock operations to prevent delivery errors and keep accurate logs.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, cross-contamination prevention, and occasional after-hours work during peak seasons. A Class A CDL, a DOT physical, a smartphone, and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 months of related experience.
• Must be licensed and insurable to drive.
• Must have or the ability to obtain a Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical every 2 years as required by law.
• Must own and be knowledgeable in operating a smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Delivers bulk feed to specifications.
• Always maintain safe and courteous driving habits.
• Comply with all DOT, OSHA, and NEW Cooperative safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures a quality product at all times before unloading.
• Learns and understands the customer’s livestock operation to avoid errors when delivering.
• Complete all driving logs and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Performs maintenance of equipment and ensures no spread of livestock disease.
• Routinely checks truck compartments for feed hang up between loads.
• Follows flushing procedures to avoid cross contamination of products.
• Performs or schedules repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment to promote a positive company image.
• Ensures work area, equipment, and vehicles are neat and well maintained.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
• Work extended hours during busy season to ensure good customer service.
