Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc is seeking a Bulk Cheese Handler to support our production lines in a temperature-controlled facility. You will de-box, weigh, and prepare cheese, operate cutters and lifting equipment, and ensure accurate production records.

The role requires basic math, ability to read production reports, teamwork, and adherence to GMP and safety policies. Experience with SAP is a plus; HS diploma or GED required; occasional standing in a fast-paced environment with temperatures around

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read, prepare, and comprehend production reports and worksheets.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to communicate with line personnel regarding information contained therein, and regarding quality and safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain area, equipment, and personal sanitation.
• De-box/unwrap cheese from original packaging.
• Weigh cheese when applicable.
• Perform quality checks against customer orders.
• Enter data on production reports.
• Operate cutters and lifting equipment.
• Load cheese into machines / onto equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records.
