Job summary

Garver in Houston, TX is seeking a Buildings Structural Engineering Intern to join its in-house team. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on exposure to structural building systems, materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, and the consulting process.

This in-office program emphasizes mentorship through Garver Launch, professional development, network building, and community volunteering.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a structural engineering degree, civil engineering degree, or an architectural engineering degree with a structural focus from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong desire to pursue a career in structural building systems engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural design tasks under supervision to learn the consulting process.
• Gain exposure to structural building systems and materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced professionals to develop professional skills.

Requirements
