Job summary

Garver’s Buildings Team in Dallas is seeking a Structures-focused intern (civil/architectural engineering with a structural emphasis) to join our Dallas office. This in-office internship offers mentorship by experienced professionals and hands-on exposure to structural building systems.

You will learn about steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, gain experience in a leading consulting environment, and participate in Garver Launch activities such as wellness and volunteer initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a structural engineering degree, civil engineering degree, or architectural engineering degree with a structural focus from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong desire to pursue a career in structural building systems engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Garver's Buildings Team is seeking a motivated structural engineering, civil engineering (with a structural emphasis), or architectural engineering (with a structural emphasis) student as a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team in our Dallas office.

Internship Description

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced structural building design professionals and industry leaders
• Learn about structural building systems and various building materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting structural engineering industry

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a structural engineering degree, civil engineering degree, or an architectural engineering degree with a structural focus from an ABET accredited program

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Revit
• Pursuing a Master’s degree in structural engineering or civil engineering with a structural focus

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
