Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Building Systems Technician to oversee daily operation, preventative and corrective maintenance of power plant and HVAC equipment across hospital facilities. The role requires independent work, quick decision-making and strong communication with staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, testing, and repairing complex systems, documenting activities in CMMS, and staying compliant with safety and code requirements.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in troubleshooting & maintenance of HVAC and power plant equipment
• Healthcare environment experience preferred
• High School Diploma or vocational training preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates power plant and HVAC systems and documents work in CMMS
• Repairs, installs, maintains, tests and troubleshoots equipment to ensure uninterrupted service
• Inspects boilers, pipelines, vessels, meters and gauges for proper operation
• Maintains and repairs equipment using environmentally safe refrigerants and maintains certifications
• Responds to customer requests with high standard of service
• Assists others on projects and installations providing repair and maintenance expertise
• Maintains patient care equipment including lighting, beds, nurse call and sinks
• Keeps current on laws and codes related to power plants and HVAC systems
