Under limited supervision, this position operates complex building controls systems and executes commissioning, startup, and operational plans. The role involves following best practices and operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient equipment operations. The incumbent will be part of a four-team, 3-person shift structure providing 24/7 coverage for a mission-critical facility.

Principal Job Duties

1. Comply with all key work processes required by the company and customer, documenting deficiencies and overseeing systems to prevent impact on the mission.
2. Operate plant systems safely, reliably, and incident-free, while seeking opportunities to reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve safety.
3. Participate in training, presentations, modules, and qualification tests necessary for job performance and rotations.
4. Perform switching and isolation procedures to manage operational issues or prepare systems for maintenance.
5. Monitor and document key operating parameters, ensuring proper filing and retention of data and forms.
6. Conduct thorough and clear handovers among operators, ensuring proper communication and documentation.
7. Track efficiency data, propose improvements, and support their implementation.
8. Assist other operators and O&M personnel as needed.
9. Maintain a clean and organized operating environment.
10. Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards.
11. Perform tasks ranging from system monitoring, anomaly review, preventive maintenance, to major equipment shutdowns, all aimed at supporting the customer’s mission.
12. Support and adhere to Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability policies.
13. Develop and apply core skills relevant to the role.
14. Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
15. This is a NIGHT shift position, currently utilizing a 12-hour, 4-on/4-off rotation, subject to change based on operational needs. Attendance for scheduled shifts is mandatory regardless of external conditions.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.
