Job summary

The Building Maintenance Engineer at Core Executive Recruiting oversees daily hands-on maintenance of Class A office buildings, ensuring tenant comfort, safety, and reliable operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems.

Collaborating with property management and senior engineers, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building automation (DDC/pneumatic), and maintain meticulous logs to uphold high standards of performance and tenant experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in commercial office buildings with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• High school diploma or GED; EPA Universal, HVAC, or electrical certifications preferred.
• Ability to perform repairs safely and communicate clearly with tenants and management.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on air handling units, chillers, cooling towers and pumps.
• Troubleshoot building automation systems (DDC/pneumatic controls) for optimal performance.
• Assist daily operations by responding to service requests and maintaining accurate logs.
