Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee seeks a skilled BAS/Fire System technician to respond to alarms, protect people and animals, and minimize damage. You will diagnose and repair complex control-system malfunctions, calibrate devices, and adjust BAS settings to meet design parameters.
The role requires 7 years of experience and an Associate's degree. You will perform routine maintenance, support energy-saving initiatives, and contribute to system improvements across campus facilities.
Under the direction of the supervisor, respond to all Building Automation System (BAS) and Fire System (FS) alarms as they occur. Take appropriate action to ensure human and animal safety, while minimizing potential damage to mechanical equipment.
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: Associate\'s degree
Minimum Required Experience: 7 year(s)
Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
