Job summary

Ernst Concrete is seeking a knowledgeable General Manager to lead the Building Supply division, overseeing daily operations, sales growth, purchasing, inventory, dispatching, and delivery logistics. This role collaborates with contractors, homebuilders, homeowners, vendors, and internal sales teams to ensure customers receive the right products, guidance, and service.

The position combines servant-minded leadership with technical product knowledge and financial oversight.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State Driver’s License, Class A or B, preferred.
• Ability to run a forklift.
• Pre-employment checks including background, MVR, DOT, and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Building Supply division, including hiring and coaching.
• Oversee daily operations for profitability and efficiency.
• Review sales, manage expenses, and ensure budget adherence.
• Conduct financial analyses and prepare management reports.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and drive sales growth.
• Coordinate purchasing, vendor relations, and supply agreements.
• Ensure stocked plants and efficient dispatching/delivery logistics.
• Support decorative/concrete product lines and provide technical guidance.
