Job summary

Ignite Education Solutions is hiring a Substitute Teacher to work as a Building Substitute in the Chestnut Ridge School District. Hours follow school district schedules, with a pay range starting at $110 per day.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is minimum requirement.
Willingness to pass clearances and training (mandated reporter, physical, TB test).
Ability to quickly establish rapport with students and adapt to different classroom settings.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
Flexibility to adapt to different teaching assignments.
Completed background check and clearance.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend for long periods.

Responsibilities

Classroom Management: Implement lesson plans and materials provided; maintain a positive, inclusive classroom.
Instructional Delivery: Deliver lessons per curriculum; adapt methods to diverse learners.
Student Engagement: Foster engagement and participation; promote a positive learning atmosphere.
Supervision: Supervise students during class and transitions; ensure safety.
Communication: Communicate with students, staff, and admins; report issues.
