College Achieve Central Charter School is seeking a committed Permanent Building Substitute Teacher to provide daily instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The role supports our mission by delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a productive learning environment.

The ideal candidate has 60 college credits, is enrolled in an education program, and holds a valid New Jersey Substitute Teacher Certificate.

Qualifications

• Must have 60 college credits and be enrolled in an education program at an accredited college or university.
• Valid New Jersey Substitute Teacher Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while the regular teacher is absent.
• Implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher or develop engaging activities aligned to learning objectives.
• Establish a classroom environment that supports academic learning and student engagement.
• Maintain order and follow school policies and procedures to ensure safety and wellbeing of all students.
• Communicate with students in a respectful and positive manner.
• Assist with classroom and school duties such as hallway transitions, lunch, and dismissal.
• Follow policies established by the school administration.
• Provide feedback to classroom teachers on student performance and behavior as needed.
• Attend professional development opportunities when required.
