Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Managing Principal to lead and advance the Building Structures practice. You will guide multidisciplinary structural engineering teams delivering complex projects while expanding the practice into new clients, geographies, and opportunities.

You will be responsible for overall business performance, including project delivery, financial results, talent development, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Engineering or related field with 15 years of relevant experience.
SE and/or PE licensure is preferred.
Experience leading large, multi-location Building Structures teams and pursuing new markets.

Responsibilities

Directs and supervises multiple studio locations within specialty market (Sports, Aviation, Transit, etc.).
Leads project pursuits and ensures delivery priorities, staffing, and assignments meet client needs.
Defines and implements the firm’s delivery approaches and processes across projects.
Manages group resources, sales, earnings, growth, and hiring targets for each studio.
Recruits, develops, retains staff, and conducts performance and compensation reviews.
Acts as Project Manager to ensure on-time, quality delivery and client satisfaction.
Develops and maintains key executive client relationships and marketing efforts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
