Job summary

Tarrant County is seeking a Maintenance and Operations Technician to oversee preventive maintenance and repair of county buildings, support event setups and emergency management system operation.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least three years in HVAC, plumbing or electrical maintenance, and knowledge of chill water and boiler systems. A valid Texas driver’s license and building systems know-how are essential; supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of general maintenance and specialized experience in HVAC, plumbing or electrical.
• Supervisory and training experience preferred.
• Knowledge of A/C, plumbing, electrical and operation of chill water systems and boiler systems.
• Must have knowledge of building operating systems with expertise in one area.
• Valid and current TX driver's license required.

Physical Demands And Work Environment & Other Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to lift, carry, climb, stoop, walk, stand, sit, work indoors/outdoors with loud equipment, push, and pull. May be exposed to communicable diseases, various parasites, dangerous chemicals and electrical hazards. This position may require overtime, rotating shifts nights, evenings, weekends and holiday work. Candidates must have the ability to pass a criminal background investigation prior to employment.
