The main purpose of this position is to supervise staff engaged in housekeeping activities at a large state facility set on an 189-acre campus. The activities are specific to all common areas, and will maintain cleaning supplies to handle the needs of the workers in assigned areas. This position receives general supervision from a higher-level housekeeping supervisor. This is an 'EMERGENCE ESSENTIAL' position that is required to have and maintain a valid Maryland driver's license and be able to drive a state vehicle in accordance to state of Maryland policies and procedures for the drivers of state vehicles.
Education : Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience : Eight years of experience in a large scale housekeeping operation at a school, hospital or other institution; four years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
Employees in this classification may be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. Employees required to work on those days will receive compensatory time off.
