Job summary

Roanoke Regional Airport Commission seeks a full-time cleaner for the second shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM, 5 days/week). Duties include cleaning and trash disposal in the Airport Terminal and other commission buildings, with attention to floors, carpets, windows, restrooms, walls and furniture.

The role requires TSA access, an ISSAC Cleaning 101 certification within a year, and a Virginia driver’s license. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of customary work experience preferred.
• Must meet TSA security requirements for access to secured areas.
• Must complete ISSAC ITS Cleaning 101 certification within 12 months.
• Valid Virginia driver license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Clean and dispose of trash in the Airport Terminal and other Commission owned buildings during assigned shift.
• Clean floors, carpets, windows, restrooms, walls and furniture.
• Maintain a neat, clean and safe condition throughout the shift.

THIS IS A FULL TIME SECOND SHIFT POSITION. WORK HOURS ARE 2PM-10:30PM 5 DAYS PER WEEK.

Performs a variety of duties to maintain the Airport Terminal and other Commission owned buildings in a neat, clean and safe condition. This position is primarily responsible for cleaning and disposing of trash in the Airport Terminal and other Commission owned buildings during assigned shift, including floors, carpets, windows, restrooms, walls, and furniture.

TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED preferred;
• Minimum of one year of customary work experience preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet and maintain the TSA security requirements for unrestricted access to the Airport's secured areas.
• Serves as essential personnel during winter weather events;
• Within one calendar year of hire date employee must successfully complete the ISSAC ITS Cleaning 101 certification
• Valid Virginia driver licence with / and maintain a driving record acceptable to the Commission and its insurance( s)
