Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks a student-intern/entry-level team member to assist on field observations for existing facilities in the Pittsburgh area. You will participate in roofing, waterproofing, fireproofing, EIFS work, and related investigations under supervision.

The role emphasizes building forensics, mechanical systems, and structural understanding, with opportunities to interact with project managers and site crews. Transportation to job sites is required.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related field.
• Interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures.
• Must be able to lift 40–70 lbs multiple times a day or up to 85 lbs to waist height.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field observations associated with existing facilities.
• Perform roofing, waterproofing, fireproofing, EIFS, anchor testing, coring, sampling, and forensic investigations.
• Communicate effectively with site contractors, technicians, and project managers.
