We are looking for a Building Project Manager with experience in managing all phases of capital projects, which include a wide variety of project types, including public safety facilities, libraries, multi-services facilities, detention projects, and recreation and entertainment facilities. Essential Functions:
Facilities Design & Construction manages the planning, design and construction of all capital improvement projects undertaken by Wake County Government. We also act as the bridge between the County Managers Office, the public, design consultants, and construction contractors. As a team member, you will have the autonomy to guide your projects and to chart your own career path. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our team in the Facilities Design & Construction department, which includes Architects, Landscape Architects, Mechanical and Civil Engineers, General Contractors, and Real Estate Specialists. We have a culture made up of motivated individuals who work hard, manage multiple projects and support each other. We develop and create special places for our community. We work to improve Wake County by making the ordinary, extraordinary. Our projects span the spectrum from building renovations and site improvements to large, complicated building and campus site development projects. While many of our projects do win awards for planning and design, our team’s main focus is on constructing high quality projects for the community.

Hiring Range: $85,000 - $98,000
