Job summary

Harvard Maintenance is seeking a Porter to maintain daily cleanliness and appearance across building public areas and support events. You will respond to requests, assist with setup, and report safety issues, contributing to a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the physical ability for outdoor work and custodial tasks in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with people at all levels.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform custodial duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust to keep areas tidy and presentable.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Restock restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Wipe down doors, windows, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Respond promptly to spills and tenant requests.
• Assist with moving furniture, setting up meeting spaces, or supporting events.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to management.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are kept in good condition.
• Follow all safety and cleaning protocols.
