Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as a superintendent.
Must be able to verbally communicate, read and write English; bilingual preferred.
FDNY Certificate of Fitness for boilers and sprinklers; certification to be obtained within 6 months if not held.
High School Diploma or equivalent; if lacking credentials, 5 years of superintendent experience.
Must be able to perform maintenance across trades.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, coordinate and execute repairs and general maintenance.
Maintain boiler/service log; perform plumbing, electrical, plaster and paint repairs.
Respond to tenant maintenance requests within 24 hours.
Distribute rent bills and notices; liaise with tenants and owners.
Coordinate with contractors and exterminators for scheduled work.
