Job summary

SAFEbuilt is seeking a Building Official to join our team of professionals. The role offers opportunities for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of assignments with full support and resources.

The candidate will ensure code compliance, act as liaison with clients, and perform plan reviews and inspections for both commercial and residential structures. Strong communication and initiative are essential in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• ICC Inspector certifications in multiple trades.
• Experience managing a building department and client relations.
• Experience performing plan reviews and inspections for commercial and residential structures.

Responsibilities

• Meet state and local code compliance and reporting requirements.
• Apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to daily operations.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients, delivering high-level customer service.
• Attend department and community meetings as required by the client.
• Perform plan reviews for commercial and residential structures.
• Provide inspection support as needed.
