Aoka, a government services provider, is seeking a Certified Building Official in San Antonio, TX to lead the building inspection team and serve as a subject matter expert for the sales group. You will influence code enforcement and ensure project quality across the region.

You will supervise inspectors, administer codes, issue permits, and collaborate with municipal departments. This role offers strong compensation and full benefits, including paid time off, holidays, and a company vehicle.

Qualificações

• ICC-CBO certification required.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in building inspection.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex code-related issues under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise building inspectors and manage inspection programs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert supporting the sales team.
• Conduct client visits as needed for complex or escalated projects.
• Administer and enforce municipal, state, and federal building codes, safety, energy, and accessibility standards.
• Oversee issuance of building permits, plan approvals, occupancy certificates, and inspection reports.
• Interpret complex codes and provide guidance to architects, engineers, contractors, and property owners.
• Collaborate with fire, planning, zoning, engineering, and public works departments for coordinated code enforcement.
• Manage appeals, code updates, and ordinance revisions.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on inspections, permitting, and code compliance.
