Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Building Engineering Division in Ithaca, NY or Elmira, NY. The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design, fieldwork, and construction administration within an integrated project team.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of AE consulting experience, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD, and a NYS PE license is a plus. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 4 - 6 years of experience at an A/E consulting firm
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Well rounded experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
• Experience with Revit or AutoCAD
• New York State Professional Engineer’s license is a plus
• Ability to work well with a team and good analytical skills

Responsibilities

• System selection and calculations for design purposes
• Conduct field work to document existing conditions
• Work with Jr Engineers to develop drawings with building modeling software
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete project designs
• Construction phase services such as submittal review and site visits to monitor project progress
