Job summary

A local YMCA is seeking a full-time Building Mechanic to perform maintenance duties including routine janitorial work and event setups. Ideal candidates will have mechanical aptitude, experience with heating, electrical, and plumbing systems, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Job description

Building Mechanic (Full-Time)

40 Hours per week. (on call overtime may be needed occasionally)

Tues­day Through Saturday 5am-1pm, unless otherwise discussed

Basic Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience with heating, electrical and plumbing is a plus
• Ability to work in indoor or outdoor elements
• Perform routine janitorial duties including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and event setups to include tables and chairs
• Lift 50+ pounds
• Work with a team and work independently
• Have reliable transportation
• Weekend availability

$17-$20 based on experience

Clearances

All positions require the ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry Clearances. If you do not have current clearances the Y will help you obtain them.
