Job summary

Erie Materials Inc. is hiring a Driver to safely transport exterior building products to customer jobsites across upstate New York and northeastern Pennsylvania. You will ensure timely deliveries, communicate with dispatch, and maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness.

The role requires a valid NY CDL-B, good driving record, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Hazmat/Air Brakes endorsements may be needed within 3 months depending on department needs.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Commercial Class B driver license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; or related experience or training.
• Knowledge of building materials product is preferred.
• Forklift and/or Moffett experience are preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of and adherence to traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Ability to lift and carry building materials up to 100 pounds.
• Able to pass DOT physical and DOT drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport and pick up building materials at designated locations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.
• Take photos for POD and delivery verification.
• Communicate and work effectively with customers, dispatchers, management and other employees.
• Follow delivery routes and schedules promptly.
• Load product onto the truck for deliveries within a route.
• Complete paperwork and maintain trip records.
• Respond calmly to emergencies or unexpected situations.
