Job summary

Erie Materials Inc. is seeking a Driver to safely transport exterior building products to customer jobsites and support warehouse operations. You will ensure timely deliveries, maintain accurate records, and communicate professionally with customers and dispatchers.

The role requires a valid CDL (NY/PA), clean driving record, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and compliance with DOT requirements. A hardworking, team-focused attitude and willingness to work beyond scheduled hours when needed are

Qualifications

• Valid New York State or Pennsylvania Commercial Class A or B driver license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Knowledge of building materials product is preferred.
• Forklift and/or Moffett experience are preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of and adherence to traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret and operate GPS and other navigation tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and carry building materials product by hand weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screening.
• FMCSA Vision requirements (20/40) in each eye; 70-degree field of vision; special report if needed.
• FMCSA Hearing requirements; evaluate by whisper test or audiometric device.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Strong basic math skills; ability to add/subtract/multiply/divide in all units.
• HazMat endorsement or to obtain within first 3 months.
• Air Brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport and pick up building materials to designated locations.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle interior.
• Take POD photos of job sites and delivered products.
• Communicate with customers, dispatchers and management.
• Provide advance communication to customers about delivery times.
• Follow routes and schedules accurately.
• Load product onto trucks for deliveries and multiple trips as needed.
• Complete trip records and related paperwork.
